One of the most common questions about AI chatbots is: how does it actually know anything about my business? The answer is often RAG — Retrieval-Augmented Generation. It sounds technical, but the concept is simple: the chatbot is given access to your own documents and data, and answers based on them.
A standard chatbot answers from what it was trained on — general knowledge, not your business. A RAG chatbot, on the other hand, retrieves the relevant information from your FAQs, prices, product catalogue and documents, and builds its answer on top of it. The result: accurate answers based on your data — not generic guesses.
Customers get answers about prices, delivery, status and products around the clock — using your company's own information. Employees can get answers from your internal documents without having to search. And you can measure everything: what people ask about, and how well the questions are answered.
